Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well!
So, I've been playing a lot with my diet and food intake... and I've come to realise that I actually don't need as much food as I thought I did. I cut out a whole meal for months, and I was completely fine.
This is a huge change from getting anxious all the time over being hungry. When you're going to the gym a lot to build muscle, you start to go a bit crazy trying to eat as much protein as you can... but I really question how much is actually needed. In the past I built a lot of muscle, I'm super athletically trim in comparison now, but I also always developed a bit of a tummy which was confusing... even when I was playing indoor soccer (most intense cardio ever!) 4 times a week.
I'm not so sure that feeling hungry actually means that you need food. I think it might be more of a pattern than anything. I would always feel hungry in the morning... until I was a week into 16:8 intermittent fasting... and then I wasn't hungry in the morning. Literally nothing else changed, I was eating the exact same foods... I just cut one meal.
Hunger is honestly starting to feel more like a mental exercise than anything... which I'm sure sounds crazy, but I really would suggest playing around with it. You might find that hangry becomes a thing of the past.
Thanks for watching!
