Combining two passions of mine - pole and photography is definitely a treat for me! This video shows some behind the scenes from the first time my friend & amazing pole ninja and I tested out outdoor poling. This was the first pole photo shoot we ever played with as well. We arrived at the location at the crack of dawn (about 7 am) before most people were awake and started setting up her xpole (stage pole). The stage pole was very heavy, and comes in different sections - so we brought it down to the lake section by section. A stage pole's weight is necessary because the pole is only connected at the base, so it requires a lot of weight to hold the base down as to not topple over when we throw momentum around on it. We had a great time with this first pole shoot of mine, and I was pleased with the results of the shoot! Poling outside was pretty interesting too for a couple of reasons. First of all, we were thrown off by the view of the sky on tricks where we upside down. Also, random bystanders from the neighborhood stopped by to say hi and were complimentary of our poling and that was very interesting experience! :)

JESS
