Salomé is 9 years old, and she learns bombard since she's 5. She's some kind of UFO in the breton music domain as children usually start learning bombard when they're 8.
She integrated the Bagad of Ploërmel this year. A bagad is an orchestra composed of traditional breton musical instruments : bombards, bagpipes and drums. The bagad reached the 6th place out of 14 at the latest bagad France championship in march.
In this video you meet Salomé at her actual level, but I will upload other videos where you will be able to see her progression since the very beginning.
The other instrument you can hear is a biniou (here played by her teacher), a sort of small bagpipe which usually plays with bombard in traditional breton music. Bombard can play in duet with a biniou, accordion, violin, organ or in more complex orchestras such the bagad.
Salomé a 9 ans et elle apprend la bombarde depuis qu'elle a 5 ans. Elle fait un peu figure d'OVNI dans le domaine car les enfants démarrent plutôt aux alentours de 8 ans habituellement.

L'autre instrument que vous entendez est le biniou (ici joué par son professeur) , sorte de petite cornemuse, qui accompage habituellement la bombarde dans le folklore breton. La bombarde peut être accompagnée par le biniou, l'accordéon, le violon, l'orgue, ou s'intégrer dans de plus grosses formations comme le bagad.
