SOS BRIGADE!
In 2017, content creators on YouTube got his pretty hard financially and socially thanks to adpocalypse 1 & 2, algorithms being played with and Logan Paul.
The face of many content creators in 2017
Through many awesome blessings, some of us were able to discover Steemit and Dtube! We have the freedom to do what we must and want because we can! There's so much potential here for growth!
Working at Youtube is like working a job you hate.
You bust your butt for years for this company and help it grow. Then all of a sudden, some hot shot comes in, disregards what you do and makes a fortune off of it.
It's worse if you're signed to a Multi-Channel Network and you lose even more revenue.
YouTube and MCN's be like "What money?"
Should I 100% quit YouTube for Dtube? Right now, as much as i'd love to, I cannot. As tired as I am of the crap, I still feel in my heart I can influence people on there a bit and it's working. From talking about being black in Korea and more, I am still reaching out to some folks out there that love what I am doing. There are so many negative "black in Korea" videos that I want to combat and show some positivity and reality.
On the flipside, i've been really looking into cryptocurrencies and Steem is pretty dog gone neat! I want to gain an influence on here and use my earnings to help out others. People took the time to help and guide me while I was living in South Korea and Japan and I want to pay it forward.
2018 is all about building baby!
Family, thanks for watching and reading!
