While digging holes for upcoming plants I hit one of our water lines, luckily it was just a sprinkler line but I quickly shut off the main water and got to fixing it. Though my first fix was a patch job and it leaked.
I decided to cap off the sprinklers, after considering the water bill that costs to run these. And the caps are less likely to leak. I show how I did this from start to finish and feels good to know I can repair such things. It took a few hours overall but would have cost hundreds to fix to pay someone else to do it.
I mention a trick to sealing the pipe sealer containers after using so air does not get in and turn them into jelly after awhile. It worked and learned a new trick along with fixing a problem.
