When I was a child, I was interested in Israel culture. However, I have not had any chance to visit Israel until this September. I have learned Jewish language, which is Hebrew for about one year. Unfortunately, it is more than ten years ago. I almost forgot everything except “Shalom” ,“Tre Bie” ,etc. It is still an awesome experience to travel to Israel with my friends. Luckily, in Israel, almost everyone can speak English. Thus, it was not difficult at all to communicate with local Jewish.
The city we went is Tel Aviv-Yafo, which is the largest city in Israel. Actually, they are two cities, just like a twin-city.** Tel Aviv is more modern and Yafo is more ancient**. Compared to modern Tel Aviv, I prefer historical Yafo. As you can see in the picture above, the front doors of houses at Yafo are colorfully painted and the houses are made of stones
Additionally, there are a lot of art stores at Yafo. Here is the Gallery. Due to copyright issues, I did not take any pictures inside the Gallery. However, the boss of this gallery is very nice. Although I cannot take photos inside, he invited me to outside and took a picture with him and his lovely dog. His dog, named as Tik, was very friendly and kept licking my legs. The boss was very nervous because he was afraid that his dog might bite me. Actually, it didn’t. I think licking my legs showed Tik really likes me
Here is another store I really like. It sells local awesome antiques. The boss is very nice. Sadly, he did not speak English very well.
The most interesting for me is to visit local food market, when I visit a brand new city. In the local food market, we can meet local citizens not tourists. You can learn how they live in this city and what they eat. The most impressive thing I learned is that although Israel is surrounded by desert. Israel can fully supply their own vegetables. What’s more, they also export Israel vegetables to Europe.
Riding a bicycle at the shore of Yafo shore is really exciting. Firstly, this bicycle is Mobike, a dockless, cash-free bike share platform. It is founded in China. I have never imagined that a Chinese company launched in Israel. What’s more, I used my wechat, which is the most popular Chinese social media application, to unlock the bicycle. That means I only paid around 0.15 US dollars to ride this bicycle for more than 3 hours. I really enjoyed, although it is very tiring. Along the shore, a lot of visitors from all over the world, were taking pictures and jogging there. Also local citizens were running for exercise.
Lastly, English is not my mother tongue. Possibly, I might make a lot of errors here. If you find out, please feel free to let me know. It will be very helpful for me to improve my English
