Following the explosion of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in 2017-2018, there was a lot of bad press as many investors lost money.
We now have a new kid on the block: STOs.
Securitised Token Offerings (STOs) seek to reinstate trust in tokenised capital raising by offering a highly regulated investment that provides an interest in an underlying asset in the issuing company such as profits or assets.
An STO from a company's perspective should be much faster and cheaper than existing capital raising avenues plus offer access to trading exchanges (with minimal middlemen!).
The question is whether these will explode in 2019 and beyond....?
