I’ve never really liked have a video stream controller as a piece of software.
As much as I love the ethos of open source you need your software to be reliable if you indeed to have regular clients and having something crashing all over the shop is not a good look.
After playing around with obs yesterday and importing/exporting and seeing if I could stop it crashing I realised that maybe I needed a patch or a fix and ended up going down a rabbit hole of terminal loading the contents of a Mac app and actually ending up with a better result than before.
Not only do I have a version of obs that now loads quicker I can also debug any path issues instead of just a crash of the app, this way it’s much better and I expect they will only get it better, they released an updated version within one day of a new Mac OS release so I’m hopefully for an even more optimised version soon.
I talk about it in the video!
