Some people want to lead, some are born to lead and some become leaders. Today I will talk about lessons that you will learn when you are a leader.
Hopefully, other leaders out here will learn from it or start their journey to become leaders.
I have founded the Berserkergang around 5-6 months ago and we are a group of carefully selected people that want to become legends.
We want to become rich, strong and create a new little world for us in this empire of nothing. That means we improve ourselves every damn day.
Every day we strive to make more money than the day before, we learn every day and we do sports on a regular basis.
My vision for the Berserkers is to build a place for the gang on a property that I bought in the forest to honor the Norse gods, to celebrate, to lift weights and to pressure and help each other to improve ourselves together.
Lesson #1 - Taking the L for the Greater Good
As a leader, you will have to shove your ego aside in some matters as the group is bigger than you alone, sure you are the founder and leader but if you throw ego fits the group will not grow and your members will resent you.
You have to be open-minded and your ego needs to be so strong that you realize that "taking the L" is the better decision and then you follow through.
Lesson #2 - Lead by Example
To be a leader you will have to be a master of your craft. If you have no specialized knowledge about anything why should other people follow you?
You are not inspiring them, you don't give them a reason to join you. If you say that you are going to be rich then you have to show them that you put the work in every day and that you make good progress every day.
I got to reputation 60 in 3 months by posting every day without no investment, I don't know anyone that can say the same. Besides that I have I have a lot of knowledge because I was the leader of other virtual groups in the past as well and I have often taken leadership positions in my life.
In other words, I do what I say I do and I succeed in it, everybody can see the results. I lift heavy, I read regularly and I make cash quickly.
Lesson #3 - Make Tough Decisions
You have to think carefully what decisions you make because other people will resent you for them and some will love you for them, however, they impact your whole group and you want to make sure that it is the best decision for the future.
If you constantly make decisions based on your ego and against the betterment of the group the people will start to hate you and it can cause a rebellion.
So make sure the people love and fear you (with fear I mean that you consequently deal with bad behavior and situations).
Lesson #4 - You Have to Keep Order
My inspiration Paul Waggener says that only 1 out of 15 people become a member of his group and that is good.
You don't want to have low standards because that attracts lowly people and it leads to nothing.
You will have to kick constant rebels, idiots, gossipers, lazy people, pretenders and basically every person whose characteristics are not acceptable in your group.
And deal with those quickly before you have a legit rebellion on your ass which can destroy your whole team. Besides that everyone will be more productive in a state of order
Lesson #5 - Constantly Strive for Greatness
If you don't pressure and help your members to do better and vice versa then why did you start a group in the first place?
Groups are made to reach a goal faster and if you are slacking around and not leading by example then your members won't take you serious and quit because you are just a bunch of lazy people.
Tell them that they are going to be richer, smarter and stronger if they keep following your rules. The rules in my group are made to pressure them into success.
Yes, it is a little bit like a dictatorship with these rules with the difference that it is for your own personal gain and therefore to make the group in total stronger.
