What's up dtube, my name is Harshil Patel and today I want to share a story of how travel sometimes forces me into my comfort zone.
I think it's pretty normal when you travel somewhere different to do only the things that are familiar to you. Such as eating at 'American' restaurants or hanging out with people who speak english rather than engage with locals.
This happened to me in Istanbul.
But travel isn't suppose to be doing the 'easy' thing.
So I did something very small to kick my bad habit. I just started going into local shops and just starting a conversation with the owners.
It was stressful but now I'm friends with some of them. Which is really cool.
Final Thoughts:
Grateful :)
