Saturday Garden Project 12-1-2018

Yesterday, I showed you a bunch of the garden projects that are waiting for me - and let me tell you, it was only a small selection.

Today, I wore this hat inspired by a Permaculture DTube video I saw yesterday by Hive account@hopfarmnc (not a snap- about 20 minutes of food forest lovelyness). He was wearing that kind of hat through the whole video - even on the day when he got hot and was sporting a T-shirt :)

Got this raised garden bed done yesterday. the instant frame is from a huge pipe that was cut into a bit more than a foot long sections. I did a bottom layer of fresh chicken poop covered with cardboard to burn whatever is growing under what I want to become my garden bed. A layer of mulch, dirt I dug up from the greywater system area mixed with mushroom compost, perlite, and rock dust. Then, I planted it with stuff we rescued from my friend's house, bokchoy and onion starts and seeded it with some clover for a living ground cover.
