We Get To Be Minnows For A Bit - 60 Days of Dtube Snaps Day 15

We need to apologize in advance for the length of this video. It is not quite a Snap, but we just had to share a little bit of some wonderful news! We are pretty sure you will forgive us this one time.

Last week Hive account@mountainjewel posted a contest. that would enable them to delegate 2,000 steem to three active Steemians that would use the delegation to add value to the blockchain. We were chosen to be one of the three Steemians and are just over the moon. We are finally able to really focus on the "Have Ya Met..." project we have been working so hard on the past month.

The "Have Ya Met..." project is where we bring introduction posts that we feel show some potential and others would possibly be interested in meeting. We spend hours reading through all of the posts tagged "introduceyourself" to find the REAL introductions. Many of the introductions are people mistagging and, whether intentional or not, and some are introductions of products or new "group" accounts; these accounts are not what we are looking for.

As we sort through the posts we leave a welcome comment saying something personal so they know, hopefully, we are not a bot, and then place a link to a post we created to explain how Resource Credits work, why tagging properly is important, and explain how beneficial using Discord can be. You can read it HERE. The goal to encourage the new Steemian to see this as the community the blockchain is and invest in it as the rest of us have.

We then take screen captures of the of each of the posts and add it to our "Have Ya Met..." post. This, with a link to their introduction, enables us to share them with everyone who reads our post. Once we have the post finished, we then comment on the introduction post explaining that we are giving them an upvote and following them. It may seem like a lot of work, but it is well worth it.

Over the past month we have not had enough Resource Credits to be able to do these posts on a daily basis as we had intended. However, with this delegation, we will be able to do a daily "Have Ya Met..." and even more comments on more introduction posts. There are a few other things we would like to do with this project, such as the introduceyourself posts that are in languages other than English, a weekly video introducing the Dtuber introductions, and maybe even play with the idea of a Discord server and show. Ah, the possibilities.
