Really great thing in this Steem thingi is possibility to reward posts that you enjoy to read. Maybe even better thing is the possibility to reward people that read and comment on your posts. Voting on other people blogs when you don't have thousands of SteemPower is most of the time not a problem, because most of the time blog will get few votes and will jump over the Dust vote threshold. But voting on comments in your blog means that most probably the only vote on that comment will be your own, and that is the moment where dust votes become important.
Dust vote
A vote on a post or comment is that has a value of less than $0.02. is a Dust vote, and will not be paid out to the commenter. So if you upvote a comment on your post with 0.019$ and no one else upvote it, you spend the vote power but that 0.019$ not be paid out, it will become just dust.

is a service that is sweeping the dust votes :) So if someone upvotes your comment with 0.015$ dustsweeper bot will after few days add an upvote so you get over the threshold and that 0.015$ are not lost.

Why am i writing about this now?
A lot of new users probably have no idea about Dust votes, and a lot will have no idea after this post of mine :D
Thing is, i do love to reward people that comment on my blogs, but the workings of Vote Power in combination with Steem Power gives me just few votes per day that will be over the 0.02$. While the prices were 0.25$ per steem i was not upvoting any comments, i would rather go to their blog and upvote a post of theirs. Now that prices are up a bit, i do get to upvote some but it would be nice to know that you can upvote less (and to more people) but still not be throwing your VP away.
Just a quick freewrite, maybe someone will learn something new :D
Reminder:
There is only 10 hours left for the vote, so if you want to help kids to win ecology contest, go check this link: https://steempeak.com/cleanplanet/@bil.prag/help-these-kids-to-win
