First Purchase from Steemit Earnings!

What a wonderful way to begin a new year - today I purchased a gift for myself that I've been wanting for a long time; a portable DVD player ... and paid for it from my Steemit earnings!

Here it is - a beautiful 12" Sylvania DVD player complete with remote, adapter, car charger, speaker cables, and an extended warranty.

It's not a completely frivolous purchase. I am disabled with multiple health issues, and often have to spend a lot of time in bed. This baby is small enough for me to manage, light enough to balance and can accommodate my arthritic hands when it hurts even to hold a book or pen and paper. At least I'll have fun watching the good-sized selection of DVDs I have.

When I first joined Steemit, I never thought I'd be able to earn enough to do anything. Of course, compared to a lot of people, a portable DVD player is a very small-ticket item ... but to me, it's just awesome! It also gives me motivation and incentive to work harder to keep earning and saving for a project near and dear to my heart sometime in the future.
