My body has so much to say.
The problem lies with the fact that my illness is against everything.
Sounds strange...
It's not.
Dysautonomia:. The dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system.
Basically, the automatic tasks of your body do the opposite of what it's supposed to do.
You stand up...
and your normal body increases your blood pressure to compensate;
my dysautonomic body drops my blood pressure by 30 or more, this lower pressure causes fainting from standing.
This is called: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).
And to make it more complex, there are different types of POTS.
Mine is called: Hyperadrenergic POTS.
So upon standing, my body increases my pressure to a disturbing number, which causes medical professionals to worry.
But after seconds or minutes, that number plummets to a fainting pressure number.
This is one of the most "disabling" symptoms.
In order to participate in the workforce, citizens need to be able to stand and sit upright without fainting.
For now... I'll leave it there.
I'm still feeling unwell, but again, I'm used to it.
Unless I'm hospitalized, I homeschool during even my sickest days--because that's every single day of the year.
