SOLVING WORLD HUNGER
I chose this particular topic because it is the most common problem in my part of the world- Africa. As we all know,most of the African countries are developing or underdeveloped. This means that the natural resources are either not used to their maximum potentials or the demands outweighs the resources available.
Also the average national income is very low,this means the net wage per every person in the labour force is low,therfore,basic needs cant be catered for i.e. clothing,food and shelter. This is why many homes expose their young children to the labour force to generate more income for the family. I am so filled with pity when I see less privileged children hawking,taking the job of house helps or engaging in more alarming things like prostitution. Also I weep when I see small children begging for money to eat; adults not been left out.
From another aspect,I wont say these countries are so poor,the political leaders are corrupt and hence embezzle most funds,leaving little or nothing for the masses.
That is why the average lifespan of people in African countries is far less than other continents due to hardship. And I can boldly say that if one can survive in this part of the world,there is no place such person cant survive in.
So I strongly believe this is the world's greatest problem because as a result of hunger,many children and adults have lost their lives.
