My mouth waters at the memories of living in Uganda, the way yours must be just looking at this photo...
I stumbled across the World's Continents Photo Challenge for the first today. Most of the entries I've seen are stunningly gorgeous vast expanse landscape shots of the glorious Nature on each of the seven largest landmasses.
I was inspired. And today is Africa's day, so I immediately set to sorting through my photos from the month I spent exploring Uganda (and spent the last two hours giggling to myself and reminiscing about how welcome I felt, how safe and taken care of in a completely foreign place, by the kind and curious people I encountered).
Eastern equatorial Africa is STUNNING, and I certainly set to capturing as much of the nature-scape I could translate through my camera, though as I perused the pictures, I realized this one speaks to a piece of that place that I found so intriguing and nourishing. I'm not sure if the photo challenge leans toward the vast glory of nature imagery or not, but this photo echoes with the beat of the Heart of Africa that I remember, and I want to share that with you.
And there certainly are more where this came from!
