Oct. 2, 2017: A 130 mile stretch of the Mississippi River from Tennessee to NW Mississippi is completely dry in places, so low making it impossible for barge traffic to deliver grain to the International or National markets.
The Mississippi River continues drying up to the point where commercial travel is no longer possible.
The river water levels have been dropping dramatically the past few days according to these live carts on the USGS websites.
This could trigger the New Madrid fault Line to have an earthquake.
It appears that the water is flowing into a newly formed crack in the Natchez, MS area.
