Most insects are not careful parents.
They lay their eggs somewhere and do not care about it anymore.
The larvae who comes out of the eggs have to survive on their own.
Although there are some insects who look well after their 'kids'.
Like the earwig...
The female lays her eggs in a hole under the ground.
She keeps guarding the little eggs and licks them clean.
If after 3 to 4 weeks the eggs come out, the mother will search for food.
She keeps guarding the nest: every insect that comes too close is being chased away or killed!
