I’ve been given my own weekly radio show on EAVA FM, Friday evenings, 5 – 7 p.m.
Each week I’ll be chatting with someone I know who’s doing positive work in the city, with interesting stories to tell about their experiences – what has made them who they are, why they do what they do. Some guests will reflect the range of Leicester’s new and settled communities, others will be people who are charting their own particular course through life here, others still will have been involved in significant recent developments in Leicester, perhaps behind the scenes. The show is called “All In Good Faith” though it’s not a faith-based programme as such. Those communities are bound to come up often, given the nature of the city, but I also want the show to reflect the artistic and cultural scene locally – perhaps foregrounding some other aspects of life here that normally pass unnoticed. More than anything, I’ll be showcasing the diversity, plurality and variety among the people who live, work and play in Leicester.
Each guest is asked to suggest three songs or pieces of music that are meaningful to them – and that we can talk about on air in ways that will be engaging for the listener. As long as the songs are on Spotify, I can add them to the show’s playlist.
I want the show to become known as a regular and reliable source of interesting and insightful conversation, where the audience know they can encounter a range of interesting guests.
First guest was Jaap Alberts, who is an active member of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness). I’d like to thank Jaap for being such a good guest and making this show easy and enjoyable.
