So hopefully that title is an attention grabber but let me explain a bit. In an earlier post I had mentioned that I am an Affiliate Marketer. Presently I work in this venture exclusively through the Ebay Partner Network. There is some possible debate about if the EPN is really an AM set up or not. But for our purposes they are set up similarly enough that they can be considered the same but just for clarity if someone should be curious with Affiliate Marketing you are basically advertising on someone else's behalf about a good or service they provide. If someone follows the Affiliate Link you provide and makes a purchase that company pays you a commission for driving that sale to them. Now with the Ebay Partner Network someone else is selling the product through the Ebay platform and when you drive sales there Ebay pays you. So while it functions the same it is arguable that the two systems are not precisely the same. Other then in a school report however that isn't going to be a big enough difference to matter.
So what are some benefits of working through me to find the best deals on whatever it is you want to buy? Well first of all, Ebay is a huge marketplace second only to Amazon really. You can find virtually anything on Ebay and usually multiple listings with competitive pricing. Chances are good if you are after a product it will be on Ebay. Sometimes I have found items on Ebay that were not available on Amazon or found better prices on Ebay then Amazon. This is contrary to what most people believe but I have experienced it several times. It is part of why I am such a big believer in Ebay. Further, because Ebay pays me for driving the sale to them it costs someone nothing to have me look for the best deal on an item for them. It benefits myself, the seller and the buyer. I also have years of experience on Ebay so I know how to research someone's trustworthiness beyond just looking at a seller rating.
What types of items can I help people find good deals on? Well, I have helped people purchase precious metals like Gold and Silver. Some folks get nervous about buying that way, two things on that. One you are protected by ebay buyer protection so if you test the product and it doesn't come up legit you can get a refund and second many mints run ebay pages so buying in that method is just like buying from the mint itself. Now this is even better then it initially sounds because of how things work on the "back end" with big companies. It can sometimes be easier to sell off a product on Ebay then rework it into the mints inventory. There are some boring reasons a non-business type would have no interest in hearing but what it means is sometimes when there is a price swing on metals you can actually get a deal at or just slightly under spot. I can pretty regularly find people deals that are a bit over spot like for Gold 10 dollars over spot or for silver aprox a buck over spot. Those deals are pretty good considering most of them do free shipping as well.
College text books are another item I can find for people at good deals. Dyson Vacuums or other brands. The potential is for the most part limitless.
Give it some thought, particularly if you are in the Continental USA but even if not I might be able to help you find deals shipping to other parts of the world as well. Hit me up in the comments if you are interested.
