I was reading this post from Ecency about the latest updates and when I saw this segment I knew I had to test it out:
"Blog Post Import
New /publish/import page for importing blog posts from external platforms:
Supports external blogs, if you have blog in medium, blogspot or any other website/platform, you can import content into Hive
Supports Hive frontends (ecency.com, hive.blog, peakd.com, leofinance.io, inleo.io)
Security hardened: DNS validation, IP range blocking, redirect limits, response size caps
Imports directly into the editor for review before publishing"
So, I decided to put this to the test. Below is a podcast episode I created back in November 2025 on the National Podcast Post Month website. By adding the url of the post to the "Import from URL" feature in the Ecency post editor, (See screenshot below), the title of the post and the content auto populated. It was cool to see how easy this was.
I like how at the bottom of the post it references the original source.
Now, I'm wondering if the podcast episode will be able to be played here on Hive. Or will people still need to click to go to napodpomo.org to get to the actual episode? This is why we test.
Why Are YOU Podcasting? 10/30 – National Podcast Post Month
Podcast: Play in new window | Embed
There are as many reason to podcast as there are people podcasting. So why are YOU podcasting? What is the reason you sit in front of a microphone, hit record, and share it with the world?
Your reason doesn’t have to be anyone else’s reason. Your reason could be just because you can. It could be because it brings you joy. It could be because you enjoy the community that has developed. Or the people that you never would have met were it not for being a podcaster.
The best part about podcasting is that it is all things to all people. One persons reason is perfectly valid as is yours. They do not have to be the same. Each person gets to define success in their own unique way. That’s just one of so many things that makes podcasting awesome.
