Limiting beliefs, by definition, are what they sound like: limiting beliefs which completely dictate what you think is possible for you or what you are going to let into your life. In a nutshell, it's the idea that you need to think more than you believe in order to accomplish things in life - and that's fine! There are so many amazing things that need to happen in your life, however... Here's the problem: when you stop believing in yourself, you start believing in things which aren't possible for you.
Want to know how to stop limiting beliefs? First, you need someone else to tell you that what you're doing isn't working. When you can hear yourself believe that you are not good enough, you have to listen. When you hear someone else tell you that you need someone else to make money, it gives you hope because you know that there is someone out there who understands what you are dealing with.
The next step in how to get beyond limiting beliefs is to find a new belief system. You have to realize that what has been limiting you in the past is actually holding you back in the present. If you continue to use the beliefs which have previously been holding you back, then you won't see any change. However, if you begin using new beliefs which promote a happier future, then you can take steps towards changing those past self-limiting beliefs.
First, though, you have to be able to recognize the fact that you are limiting yourself in the first place. Do you feel like everything is out to get you? Do you get discouraged easily when things don't go the way you expected them to? If so, then you are limiting your self-confidence. You need to get past the false beliefs of "all is not good" because this will keep you stuck in a negative mindset.
When you know that you are limiting your self-esteem because you have these false beliefs, you need to find new ones for a new self-image and for an enhanced sense of self-confidence. You have to recognize that the limiting beliefs don't matter anymore because the world works according to the way you think, speak, and behave. You cannot allow these limiting beliefs to control you have to make a conscious effort each day to think and act differently.
Second, when you know that you are limiting your self-confidence because you have these limiting beliefs, then you need someone who can help you do something about it. You may be hesitant at first to ask for help, but if you want to get the help that you need, then you have to get past your hesitance. Everyone was born to have the ability to make choices. You have to learn to rely on someone else to help you reach your goals and dreams. In order for you to develop and use the decision-making process properly, you must have a person to give you the help that you need.
Another thing that you can do when you realize that you are limiting your self-confidence because you have these false beliefs is to ask for support. For example, if you are scared to ask for help because you are worried that you will say no or that you won't be good enough, then you will have no chance of becoming successful and mastering the skill that you need to become successful. You must learn to ask for help in order to reach your full potential. If you are the type of person that needs to believe that you are good enough, then there is no room for growth. You need someone to push you beyond your limiting beliefs so that you can achieve your goals.
Finally, when you realize that you are limiting your chances of success because you have these limiting beliefs, then it is time to make a big change in the way that you look at success. Instead of seeing it as a goal, you must start seeing it as a way of life by starting with taking action. Begin to believe that you can have your dream job and the things that you want because you are taking action. Once you start taking action, then you will know that you are on the right track and you will have an increased chance of reaching your goals.
