Are we better off since the 50's????

I found a really interesting video by someone who makes an argument that standards of living have decreased since the mid-20th century, by using his father's 1956 tax return and yearly salary, as well as home costs at that time as well as describing his family's living situation.

I will be posting my own research on living standards for several Western major cities in a while.
