You can only have true freedom under the free market economy. This is the ethic of the Yankee peddler to offer you goods and for you to pick and choose if you so decide.
I have always wished to live under a free market economy but from the way things are looking today I don't think it will come to fruition in my lifetime. At least the market I grew up in had some semblance of the free market, even the little bit of freedom we have had has allowed us to create enormous wealth as a society.
For the past few decades economic policies advocated by the left have prevailed in our country. The Federal Reserve and the Treasury are run by liberals who practice fraudulent Keynesian monetary expansion. High tax policies, regulations that promote progressive fads, welfare programs, government subsidies, and excessive litigation have hurt the economy in profound ways. Our inability to break free of our great recession and financial devastation comes from these liberal programs.
The liberal agenda is the blueprint for national ruin.
Trying to get government to be as efficient as business is as hopeless because government is NOT A BUSINESS. A business measures results through profit or loss where as a government has no such objective standards. They have no bottom line so there is no incentive for cost cutting or sound financial management.
Money is the phenomenon of the market, a medium of exchange. But governments think of money as a product of government activity. Money is not a creation of the government.
I realize I can go on and on about a large swath of financial and economic topics but my main point for this post is to express how I wish I lived in a free market economy and to practice posting my thoughts here on Steemit.
When the music stops there will be no way of escaping into sounder or less inflated currencies.
