In our world it seems that too often people chose convenience over priority. What I mean is that it is easy to chose the path of least resistance.
If we all had pur prioities straight, what would the world look like?

Something that is considered more important than other matters.

Something that you do or deal with first because it is more important or urgent than other things.
These days I have several priorities but for sure the most important on my list is my family's health and happiness. It may sound a little cliché but looking deeper into it, I can see that almost every other thing that I do is for our happiness.
I may be kind of extreme sometimes, especially about all this new (to me) information I have been devouring on the subject of re-wilding, but I can also step back from time to time to make sure we are all on the same page. The direction we've chosen is somewhat against the grain... Homesteading in a community setting, geared towards becoming modern hunter-gatherers.
Some of the reasons we chose living this way have become my priorities:
Fostering our children's imagination and growth, because I truely believe our current system does quite the opposite.
Food sovereignty, because I want absolutely clean food and knowledge of its provenance. This ties in the a good health.
Building community, because without it we're not completely human... and life flows so much better when we are present to help one another.
Self-reliance, because dependence of a system in which we have no control could prove detrimental if it were to fall apart.
As long as I can remember I thought life, as it is in our society, wasn't right. From early school age to retirement, life is dictated to us. What happened to our animal instinct? Where did our true freedom disappear to?
Through this homesteading path we have chosen, I really hope to start changing that paradigm. We all must understand that this change (for those who also wish it) will be generational. Nothing happens overnight!!!
