We are living in a time, were a lot of time, energy and money is being invested, into finding the answers to all the so called problems in our world today. Problems that we have been told exist, that the media chooses to portray. Yet so many of us now know that there are far more things happening in the background, that are cause for concern. We know that things can not continue as they have been, that we are coming to the end of an era. Yet what awaits us, what will be born out of this.
There are so many divisions within the world, between the different sexes, different nationalities, different classes and they just keep on growing. Everything that seems to happen of late seems to lead to further segregation’s within society. People getting so worked up, trying to defend their beliefs and their rights, that they fail to see how it is benefiting those in power. Divide and conquer. This has be the way for so long, it is an old strategy of war. It is depicted in every war movie, written in every book, that we have become so used to it, that we allow it to happen right under our noses. We are weaker because we are not united. 1% of the population make all the rules and dictate how we should live our lives and the majority of the world put up no resistance. They are so used to being governed and ruled. So used to being told how things are and how we should move forward.
All the questions that are put forward seem to come from those in power and all the possible solutions too. And these questions and answers are all feeding the same repetitive loop. A loop that strives to dumb us down and disconnect us from our natural environment. A loop that takes the responsibility out of our hands and with it our power. When you feel no responsibility you feel no connection.Pointing the blame, projecting our anger at one another and not the establishment.
So here we have the majority of the population in the world, feeling little if any responsibility towards the environment and even if they do, some feel happy, that they are doing enough because they recycle. Yet how much waste is actually being recycled, very little I can tell you. How have we come to this point, where so many just have no idea about the impact their lifestyle has on the earth, have no compassion towards their real and rightful home. How have we come to the point were protecting a building/structure that we inhabit, is more important than protecting the earth that keeps us alive. This structures are also segregating a lot of us. Divided and isolated behind walls, disconnected from one another. People feeling paranoid about their neighbours, feeding into the bullshit that the media has put out into the world.
We hear people talking about things going on in other countries, yet where is the talk about what is happening in your community. Will you intervene if you become aware that some other being is being mistreated, is being abused. Will you intervene if you see someone polluting, or will you turn the other way because it is non of you business. Because we have been told to protect our own, to protect our structures, structures that we believe are our homes. We hold onto this structures so tightly because at the end of the day we are being controlled and played by those in power, so having something that is truly ours is seen, as so important. I am not saying not to protect your dwelling, I am saying that we also need to protect the earth, to see the earth for what it really is, our one true home. Imagine if we all felt as passionate about the earth, as with did about our abodes.
I struggle to understand why so many people are so destructive upon the earth, in one way I kind of understand, because this has been the way of humankind for quiet a while now. When humankind stopped being nomadic and started to farm, to possess land and take ownership of it, fences were build and we started this act of segregation. Yes in some ways this needed to happen, but farming became so destructive and ownership took on a nasty side. It started to spread into ownership of other beings, into control and manipulation. In my eyes we can never own the land, it is not ours to own in the first place. We can become guardians for sure. But how can we own something that we are all a part of?
We come from the earth and to the earth we shall return. The earth is what connects us all, it is a living organism that sustains us, we breathe because of her, we eat because of her, we are alive because of her. So why do we allow those who abuse her and destroy her, to control us. Why are we not able to see that they will never have our best interests at heart. Because protecting the earth, is in our best interests. Why are so many not asking these questions?
