I'm glad that I can still have some Nasturtium blossoms in my yard and enjoy them as a topping on my favourite dishes.
For those of you who have known me for a while, you may have seen some pictures of dishes with colourful flowers on top; one of my favourites is the nasturtium flower. 🥗🌺🌼
Plants like nasturtiums are versatile. In addition to being edible and gorgeous, their flowers are also very beneficial to other plants in the garden since growing nasturtium may be used to lure aphids away from other plants, which makes them a very attractive asset in gardens.
Nasturtium plants are among those species that flourish in neglect and are very simple to cultivate with little maintenance.
Nasturtium plants can be grown as a spiller in window boxes and hanging baskets or as a garden aphid trap. So, in a simple words, plant them and forget them—except to enjoy this cheery little blossom and the leaves, which are extremely beneficial because they are rich in vitamin C and have natural antibiotic properties.
Nasturtiums can be used as attractive flowers for any savoury or sweet dishes and will add a peppery fragrance to salads, stews, soups, and other dishes. 😋
Happy Thursday everyone! 😍
