There are people who know that they keeping their jobs has nothing to do with how good they are and they could get laid off anytime. --- Les Brown
I watched an interview of les brown with Eric Worre on youTube and Les dropped the statement above. He went on by saying
The term work is an aversion to most people’s spirit.
Today, many graduate from tertiary institutions and all they think about is looking for jobs. Jobs that will quickly replace you when you die no matter how much you sacrifice for them. Jobs that will never pay you enough to get you or your family the things you desire. Jobs that will take away the only true luxury which is the quality time spent with friends and family.
My Question Is Why Do We Enslave Ourselves With The Notion of “Getting A Secure Job” while Deep Down We Know There Exist Nothing As Such.
There is a Solution and it lies in the first quote above. Work for yourself as early as possible and here is how.
Everyone has something they are good at right, so develop that thing and link up with people who are interested in that same thing. The linking up part has been made easy thanks to numerous social media communities. Two heads are always better than one right, so together, you find ways of making money with your talent or passion or whatever it is you enjoy doing.
All I have suggested should be applied mostly by students in tertiary institutions. This will truly make you self-reliant after graduation and as you learn more about your trade( preferably from google and youtube) you can expand your frontiers and who knows, you can push yourself into the international limelight by doing what you love.
The greatest misconception today is students do not have enough time to themselves. All the weekends we spend partying and playing video games, if it were to be used for what I am proposing, it would solve most of the unemployment issues.
Hey, this is just my humble opinion but if you have a better solution, drop it in the comments below
