Today we will discuss A Aeolian Pentatonic Mode. It is the 6th mode in Ionian, but the last mode in the pentatonic. Various perspectives were discussed in the video to help you develop a cognitive map of these concepts in your brain. Various maps of these perspective might help you develop muscle memory and or help with compositions or improvising.
The pentatonic scale is used in rock and blues and there is a blues scale modifier we will discuss at some point. The three perspectives discussed in the video are the frets to play perspective with octive distinction, the intervals perspective, and the recommended fingering at a certain area of the fretboard.
The intervals in A Aeolian from the perspective of C Ionian would be 6, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. But from the perspective of A Aeolian would be 1, b3, 4, 5, b7.
