What's the necessity?
With the rise of developments such as the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) the innovative economical technology that powers cryptocurrency such as the blockchain is gaining legitimacy in society. Few colleges have adapted to these changes and brought on crypto-courses and programs and it is becoming ever more important that people be financially literate in these 21st century economic advancements.
When will the blockchain become mainstream in classrooms?
Why do they consider it a daunting task?
Many consider the technology of the cryptocurrency world as an intersection of disciplines such as finance, economics, computer science, and mathematics. Students would need to have a sufficient background in all of these fields they say. The fact of the matter is that although a background in these fields is nice, for a casual student to be even informed that these economical developments are taking place would certainly go a long way.
Understanding the difference between centralized, decentralized, and distributed certainly requires no degree
What can we do?
As members of the cryptocurrency community creating helpful resources in order to educate the wider society on the merits of cryptocurrency and its technology is certainly a very good thing to do. Being able to define and explain to others concepts such as the blockchain, proof of work, proof of stake, and decentralization will enable us to better understand those concepts ourselves as well as inform others.
Cheers
