The only way to give them a future is to supply them with the quality tools.
A happy Friday to all and I invite you to come and have a look at the pilot of a new coding training project designed by Papillon and a partner non-profit called Imibala.
You will see 16 students here that were split into two groups of eight.
By splitting the groups it allows for more personal direct focus between the tutor and the learners and I will show both groups in action today.
The tutor holds a PhD in Maths and he is a volunteer in the project.
The guy standing at the left is the manager of the center and he is just as delighted as we are with the progress of the students.
The learners are from a secondary school in the area and Imibala works with 21 schools in the area. A perfect field to sow the seeds of improvement and I so look forward to the growth of this new coding training project.
The great news is that Papillon supplied the first 8 new notebooks for the project and a big company was so impressed that they donated 22 new notebooks to the project.

Now what is this? Maths? Yuck! I scraped through maths at school but these kids love it.
To me y=m can never work as it it in the wrong order of the alphabet hahaha.
So yes, the maths teacher is a German lady that holds a degree in Maths and she is also a volunteer in the project.
And then it was computer time for the coding lessons.
Impact and results are important factors to me and we have had a great impact in the past. Some foreign doctors and IT specialists were trained in Papillon's English TEFL classes in the past and they are all working in our hospitals today. One gent even became the general manager of the IT section of a large shopping company.
So what will the future hold for our students here? Exciting when one thinks about it, as the world will really be their oyster. The training is in Java and many will become app developers to help their communities, yet others will become game developers and things like such. We have investigated some markets already and some are willing to take the students on as interns. The perfect solution.
This is true quality development and our prayers are that each of these eager young souls will turn into a combined strength for the better in the future.
Who knows, as when they have completed the course I might even introduce them to Hive. I might put the winking emoji here one day.
