The Blueberry Ash ( Elaeocarpus reticulatus ) is a native Australian tree found in the rainforests of the State of New South Wales and along the East Coast of Australia. It normally grows into a small tree, but can be trimmed to form a large shrub. it has deep green leaves and white to pink flowers with pretty fringed edges. After flowering it follows up with deep blue berries , which is the reason for it's name. Older leaves turn a red colour which adds to the attraction, and Birds are attracted to the berries. You guessed right again , because it does grow in Sydney , where i took this photo!
