Gregor Gregersen, founder of Silver Bullion, spoke with Dan Murphy on CNBC's The Rundown about how electric vehicle demand is fueling demand for battery metals such as nickel and cobalt.
Gregor: "I don't see any reason why nickel shouldn't go back to its 2007 high, which was $54,000/ton. Right now it is about $13,500/ton. A 400-500% increase in the next five to six years, I think it is realistic especially considering that the demand for electric vehicles is likely to explode in 3-4 years because that is when we are going to hit parity between internal combustion engine(ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles."
