The truth is we live in a time that everyone depends on technology, and that technology could be stripped away from us in an instant. Did you know that if you destroyed just 9 substation in the United States you could take out the electrical grid for 18 months. Are you prepared for that? Finically, physically, and mentally. And what do these 3 things really mean to you?
I would love to see a world where we use digital currency and move away from fiat money. But the reality of it is our electrical system needs some serious upgrades inorder to sustain the digital world. I'm concerned about these things because I'm a lineman by trade. I build, and maintain the electrical grid. I've seen first hand how weak our system is. And frankly it scares me.
