Ben Klock is one of the artists that gained a lot of attention in last years. He is one of the guys coming from the Ostgut clan; The guys behind the well know label in the techno scene, as well as the guys behind the most mysterious and best techno club in the world "Berghain" in Berlin. Ben you may also know from his well respected label Klockworks! Many great techno producers have released on this label.
Ben's productions and performances music style is: old school minimal techno. I mentioned 'old school' since most people will relate minimal techno to the stuff guys like Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin made popular about 12 to 15 years ago. At that time it was called click-house. A total different style of minimal techno than what Ben Klock is bringing. He takes minimal techno further from where it was left 15 and more years ago, the Detroit style of minimal techno! Artists like Steve Rachmad, Marcel Dettmann, Heiko Laux are in that arena; Back then, and still are; All with their own interpretations; The style I like the most, out of all styles that defines the genre Techno!
