Whew! We're almost done with our suspects for Solarium! Yay!
Meet Noelle! She entertains folks as a stage magician in popular venues in Ground Zero. She's got a bit of a fanbase among those who love to watch fights in the Clockwork Arena because she's always got something unexpected up her sleeve.
It the world of there's big money in entertainment, even if you aren't a Clockwork Fighter and Noelle definitely knows how to capitalize on that. She has an enhanced right eye that helps her both in the arena and when she needs to read a crowd to see how her tricks are landing. Her magic may be nothing more than clever slight of hand, but an air of mystery helps keep her alive. Opponents never know what to expect.
Here we see her in more casual, though still fashionable, steampunk street clothes. Her lookwas inspired by this costume. On stage she wears more elaborate costumes. When she's out on the town she doesn't necessarily always want to be recognized but does enjoy a pop of colour in these dreary Steampunk streets!
As far as the design, I wanted to try something a little modern. I mean, steampunk modern you know? I feel like there are probably people running around Steemopolis who dig Victorian fashion, but there are also probably people who try for something a little sleeker. Noelle's outfit with the cap and suspenders and short pants kind of reminds me of a mechanic or a quick street urchin vibe. I also noticed most of the characters were well skinny so I gave her a bit of roundness, since I feel like it's good to have padding on the body. X3
Woo! We're officially in the home stretch of suspect pixel sprites. I have one more to go before we can start looking at some clockwork pets. After all, in this game you must help Oona retrieve her enhanced clockwork animal creations so it'll be fun to make those next!
