I am wondering if there is anyone else in the US that wants to make blockchain-based phsyical goods. I am interested in getting together and making a collaboratory of crypto hardware goodness!
Let's face it: a bunch of overfunded corps and a few thousand agile-a-f startups are all working on next-gen shit, right?
Here's what I think: a bunch of overeager Steemians working with the efficiency of emergence has just as a good a shot of coming up with the standards of the next generation as those other guys.
Look at the kinda stuff ya'll coming up with just using some hashtags and shit :O
Love seeing that kinda stuff! But I also think that there is a special kind of collaborative efficiency of learning and doing in real time with peers in-person. I hope that there can become an established best-practice for spawning up these geographic groups because if we all started forming into real-life groups and doing meetups and hackathons with each other...I mean the grassroots potential of those turning into some amazing next-gen community workshops of innovation is huge!
I think I'm just going to try and develop that spawning process in text form and I'll do a post about it; you all think this is a good idea? I know it's not my thing but I am empathetic to those who wish to remain anonymous, so I hope this is not offensive to those. I truly wish we lived in a society where the need for anonymity did not exist and that particular fear could just be done away with, but for now all I can do is offer my personal trust. I am kind of over trusting any hierarchy (why else would I be here, right?)... well, hope you all have a wonderful weekend - I'm really excited about that ice bath tomorrow _
