What is Voster Coaster

Voster Coaster is an in-development game for PC virtural reality systems (HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus),. This game is going to be a roller coaster building and tycoon game where you walk around on top of a mini world that is your theme park.

This game takes inspiration from awesome games like Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, and this really awesome video. I plan to implement all the features of a theme park management tycoon game, the ability to build roller coasters, rides, food stands, paths, and need to manager your money the whole time. I also want to make it so that you can switch from miniature mode to human scale to walk around your park like it was a real thing.

Technology

This being built with Unity and the SteamVR plugin. The headset I own is the Samsung Oddesey Windows MR headset, but I'm building it with SteamVR so that it will support all major PC based VR headsets.

This is a room scale game, meaning you can walk around.

The roller coaster building system is being developed from the ground up **for** VR. This means that the system will use the advantages the VR medium gives.

Developement

All development is currently being done by me, Ajay Ramachandran. I have been, and will continue, to post informative updates whenever I have completed a meaningful amount of feature additions (usually every 1 - 2 weeks).

Community Involvement

I plan on continually releasing beta build for people to try out if they want/can (if they have a VR headset).

Current Status

You can build roller coasters, move around UI windows, and watch roller coasters being run.
