Executive Summary

Dear all friends,

Few words to describe my life and how much unfortunately my unknown disease is fighting against me. Intent of my message is double, create awareness about this nightmare and ask for your help to try, a bit, to keep me away of this unbelievable hard situation. I did my best to describe everything to let you know in detail what are things in place and therefore let you own feeling define if you would like be kind and help me. Without you, noting is possible.

The project

I have two autoimmune diseases, [Gougerot Sjogren's syndrome]( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sj%C3%B6gren_syndrome) and [lupus eythematosus]( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systemic_lupus_erythematosus) which are two systemic diseases.

This means without going into too much medical detail (I want you to read again 😃) that my antigens which are one of the links in the body's defense system against aggression, instead of fighting germs, fight is done against my own organs which keeps my body in a state of constant combat.

They are both systemic diseases which mean that they can affect all organs (heart, kidneys, lungs, muscles, brain...) and as far as I am concerned it's my muscles, my joints and my brain that are affected.

This appears by intense fatigue (exhaustion), pain in all joints and muscles as well as neuropathic pain that are daily since 2015 and significant insomnia for the most part (that's enough? 😃).

My pains have become chronic and have led to a third disease, [fibromyalgia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia) which is a disease not well known and understood in France, some mechanisms of which remain unexplained.

Yet it is now accepted that it is a "real disease" of neurological origin and not psychological.

This manifests itself in intense fatigue (again), joint and muscle pain (again), insomnia (again) and cognitive problems so if you do not understand everything do not hesitate to ask me questions.

I have been prescribed many treatments, some ineffective, others very harmful to my health and to date doctors have only three solutions to offer me:

1- Prescribe me [Morphine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morphine).

I think I don't need to explain what it is and so you can imagine why up until now anyway, I always refuse.

2- Prescribe [Ketamine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketamine) injections.

It is a rather controversial treatment in France which consists in injecting ketamine directly into the muscles to try to anaesthetize it and reduce the pain. Given the many side effects so far, I've always refused.

These two treatments are still classified as opiates.

3- Receiving electrical shocks in the brain.

Through electrodes with the objective of short-circuiting the message of pain.

I'm extremely scared 😲 by this treatment and it requires a ten day hospital stay and with my twins baby two years old it's a little be hard.

I have therefore decided for the first time in my life to detach myself from allopathic medicine, which can be considered the most widespread medicine in the West for three important reasons:

Treatments have become too deleterious and ineffective,
The limitations of traditional medicine with regard to chronic pain,
The opinion of my algologist (pain specialist) who is following me and who for the moment would like me to turn to unconventional medicines (auriculotherapy, chiropractic, cryotherapy, etc) because she is worried about the side effects of all the drugs I have been taking for three years.

I started with auriculotherapy and chiropractic because I managed to get financial coverage for these treatments.

These days, I just discovered that there is, twenty minutes from home, a whole body cryotherapy booth (WBC).

Cold care has always been used.

We all know its virtues to relieve muscle pain or to reduce a hematoma of an ice pack.

The principle of Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is a little bit the same and consists in diving the whole body for a few minutes at - 266 ° F (- 130 ° C) to induce a thermal shock on the body and obtain an antipain and anti-inflammatory effect.

I can only deplore the lack of scientific study as is often the case when it comes to unconventional medicine.

How will the funding be used?

The funding will be used to cover the following costs:

Travel expenses from my home to the cryotherapy center. Because of my pain it is impossible for me to drive. On the other hand, I negotiated the tariff with the taxi which ensures all my medical transports for a cost round trip of 17$ per session,
On the advice of my algologist doctor and by crossing all the medical sources that I could find, the cure within the framework of fibromyalgia and chronic pains must be of fifteen sessions for a cost of 46$ per session.

Who I am?

My name is Christel, I am 43 years old, I'm married and mother of twin baby who are 2 years old. 💕

I take care of them full time because I have not worked since November 2017 when I was declared unfit for work by the social security (public health insurance organization in France) and placed on disability.

I live in Corsica, a French island nicknamed "beauty island".

I'm passionate about science in general and medical science in particular.

I love hiking, horseback riding, judo and fishing but I can't do all that anymore.

I'm passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency since May 2017.

Yes, on Steemit I found great people with whom I communicate daily or almost for more than a year with more and more pleasure always in joy and good mood and God knows that it is important for my diseases. As they say:

A better knowledge and understanding of the blockchain / crypto eco-system. Steemit/Steem is so complicated that once you understand, the rest seems easier. And finally, Steemit allows me to dream about a professional future even though my illnesses force me to stay at home almost all the time.
