It depends on where you live. It is an option for sure especially if we would reduce the amount you use and they wouldn't be that extremely expensive. It is not worth the investment if it takes 5 years to get your investment back. At that time the panels are old. During winter/snow there is less sun and you have to remove the snow, not a great job if you are old and they are placed on the roof plus the government wants you to pay taxes over it (huh???)

At this moment we use a bit more as 5 kWh a day as a family. I hope to reduce that.
