My interest is small and medium enterprises and when I say small, I mean even micro enterprises. The one man bands that sell a bit of fruit at the corner of the street, every day, just to make enough to keep a roof over the head and some food in the belly.
Small and medium enterprises are the life blood of any emerging economy.
Unfortunately it is the entrepreneurs that operate in this space that are likely to get the least formalized assistance to get off the ground.
Credit and other financial services are difficult to come by and when they do, they often cost an arm and a leg.
In this blogs I plan to cover some of the many and various options that are available or players that are operating in this space as well as a review of some of the offerings.
I hope to point out some of the pitfalls and benefits to look out for.
I also plan to offer some of my opinions and demonstrate how the Micro-finance sector could benefit from adopting aspects of the decentralized ledgers and streamlining that blockchains can provide.
