The Five Satins are one of the original American doo-wop groups headed up by lead singer Fred Parris. The group out New Haven, Connecticut was formed in 1954 and were soon signed with Club Records. They became famous after they produced a song called "In the Still of the Night". The Five Satins typified the music and sound of that time, but also succeeded in adding a special touch to it, giving their music just what it needed. A well known artist by the name of Lou Peebles was also a member of The Five Satins.
