Hello everyone! Welcome / Welcome back đ If you're new here, feel free to browse around. HBM is centered around providing value, fostering a healthy community, encouraging creativity, being honest, and seeking growth. I talk more about those things in my first post here: https://bit.ly/3vnV7Hh
If you're returning, thank you so much for your support and feedback. Each week I aim to improve the quality of content presented to you. I appreciate you holding me accountable in that area.
Did you catch last weekâs post? If you missed it, here you go: https://bit.ly/3vnNXD7
As promised, Iâd be exploring the tagline word I have underneath HBM: Mindstyle. I came up with this word to describe living your mindset, aka your lifestyle.
Get into a quiet area. Think for a moment.
What hopes do you have for your lifestyle? Do your thoughts and actions align with that lifestyle ârealityâ you have inside of your imagination?
Your thoughts create the life youâre living right now, in this current moment. So, take inventory of your thought life.
Do you have more inventory on the âdoubtâ shelf? Have you lost inventory in the self-confidence department? Is self-confidence on the clearance rack?
You get the picture.
The âwarehouseâ of your mind houses all things that make up you and your life.
Wherever you are in this moment, accept that you have the power to change it. The power resides in your mind.
Mindstyle encompasses the building blocks of your foundational thinking.
Iâm sure youâre familiar with the saying âyou can achieve anything you put your mind to.â
Itâs inspiring when youâre a child, because typically lifeâs obstacles donât hit you until later (there are special cases of course), when the outside encouragement seems to dwindle entering your late teens/adulthood.
During this time is when we actually need to be reminded!
Well, hereâs your reminder: YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO!
Your belief in yourself is what will fuel your mindstyle.
If you want this to be your first six figure year (like me), then you can do it. If you want to start a nonprofit, then go for it (and link it in the comment section below). If you want to become a recording artist, pursue it. If you want to become a motivational speaker, (invite us to your event), then go forth and conquer.
I think people are afraid of others getting ahead of them in life. People are not your competition; they are your connection.
When I started HBM, I already knew that the blogging space in general is saturated, but I also knew that there is no other like me on this planet.
And there is no other like you on this planet.
Whatever your dreams or secret hopes are, you can actually achieve them if you are bold enough to admit to yourself. If you can actually envision how to accomplish it, you're close to achieving it. But don't stop there - challenge yourself to set larger goals to keep your mind engaged in strategic thinking (more creativity and sharper thoughts are birthed out of this).
Honestly, with the majority of the ideas I have, I still donât know how Iâm going to get there in the first place!
But thatâs the exciting part. Thatâs what makes life, life. Experiencing the hurdles, confusion, etc. is all a necessary part of the process of becoming you and becoming what this world needs.
Your mindstyle drives you to make your thoughts tangible.
You have no business keeping your ideas buried deep within you. You have no business doubting your potential. You have no business denying the gifts inside of you.
You are meant to make a difference. That is why we are all here on this planet.
So, how do you actually live your mindstyle?
You take self-inventory. Discover and acknowledge whatâs within you and discern areas where you need support.
You take responsibility for what you can do in this moment to start transforming into your real self.
You change your thought patterns. (For me, this has taken the longest. Doubt was relaxing on a hammock sipping lemonade and would interject any time it heard an idea forming in my mind. You have to train yourself to focus mentally on your goals. It does take time but stick with it.)
You follow a schedule to keep yourself on track. Whatever your goals are, do one thing each day to bring you closer to achieving them (the goal becomes more real to you in this way). It doesnât matter if you work a 9-5 (I do too), you can always make time for yourself. You are a priority for your wellbeing and development.
You find an accountability partner. There is someone in your circle whom you trust the most. You donât have to share every single detail with them, but tell them that you'd like them to be your accountability partner for a project you need to finish by (insert date here). Even if they text you a signal word every day or on certain days, it can help you remain focused. Offer to do the same for them.
You celebrate small steps. No mountain climber has ever started at the base of the mountain searching for an elevator to the top (if they have, itâs resulted in wasted effort). You see the top. The seemingly insurmountable goal and you climb towards it, steadily. Time is not wasted if you utilize it to get closer to your dreams.
I definitely know that there are more items to add on this list, but I wanted to share some key starting points with you in order for you to begin.
Any day is a good day to start transforming your life and living out your mindstyle.
Iâll see you in the next post. Stay well.
