The Make $1 Per Day Challenge
In today's video I wanted to issue everyone a challenge. I wanted to issue you all the challenge to make $1 per day online.
One of the biggest challenges I see among new Entrepreneurs or people trying to make money online for the first time is their expectations are out of line with reality. I think in large part it's due to the flood of Youtube Entrepreneurs talking about making huge money their first month online. Either they are lying to make things sound easy and sell a course, or they are the exception rather than the rule.
I remember when I first got starting "hustling online" and by hustling online I'm talking everything from Adsenes to eBooks to courses to eBay I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I started off making like 0.02 cents per day on Adsense. I eventually grew that to a quarter per day, then to a Dollar per day. While that may not seem like huge money I was broke at the time so an extra $30 per month meant not having to hit a Coinstart machine the day before pay day or not having to have the embaressment of digging 0.21 cents out of my couch cushions and putting 0.21 cents worth of gas into my car to hopefully make it to work.
Once I got to a buck a day I got it to $2 per day and then parlayed that $2 per day into $4 per day. At that point it kind of hit me that if I could scale this and start doing more blogs earning $4 per day that money just begins to stack.
I think too many people want to cross the finish line without running the race. By that I mean many people who have never made a penny online before are setting a goal to launch a private label product or make a Shopify store. Many people have expectations of making hundreds of Dollars per day their first month, and while that's definitely possible, it's probably not going to happen starting from scratch, having never made money online, and having zero skills equipping you to do so.
I think a lot of Entrepreneurs start out with unrealistic goal and then get frustrated because they aren't reaching those goals. When I first got started I had very humble goals so it was hard to be disapointed. In many ways I think my desperation helped me stick around and not fizzle out like so many new Entrepreneurs.
I think by doing small time hustles you can try out a lot of different things with very little money and very little risk. If something doesn't work out you pivot and start something else.
I definitely think the types of tasks you take on or the type of activities you engage in are going to be different trying to earn a buck a day than trying to earn $500 per day, but I think it's a good excercise.
I think by taking on this challenge you will....
Realize making money online isn't as easy as Youtube Gurus make it sound.
Once you do make that buck a day I think your going to realize wow that really wasn't that hard, if I can do double that, and double it again and again in small measurable steps it will add up to big money.
I think by taking on this challenge you'll develope a lot of the skills and experiences you need to take on those bigger challenges.
I"m not saying you shouldn't set lofty goals or you shouldn't try big things, but on the side take on my Dollar a day challenge, I gurantee you'll be benefited by it.
