Nobody is hostage - and, it is an interim stage as we work ourselves towards fusion (not fission). That has no radioactivity and is very safe, with ample fuels. Great strides forward have been taken, so if you are much younger than me, it is likely you will live to see fusion used (unless the globalists get rid of you, since they do not like people who think for themselves).
