Hey Steemians!
I love writing, especially poetry. I love reading poetry too. I'm starting a 30 day "Poem of the Day" ritual to encourage myself and others to write poems everyday :) Let's see how it goes!
Here's Poem #1
Shattering of glass Cracking of a potHell freezing over
Lava boiling hot
None can describe
The ache of the Earth.
The human heart
Fist-sized pump
At the smallest affliction
Causes a lump
That still doesn't keep us
From killing the earth.
Spring, winter, rain, summer,
Seasons all mixed up.
Global warming, deforestation,
Increasing sea levels,
Doesn't warn us enough
To stop the ache of the Earth.
When the lava has exploded
And hell has frozen over,
When the water has evaporated
And the earth is no longer,
Is that when we will understand
The ache of the Earth?
