The implications of this development could have a significant impact on our plant.
Scientists at the University of Illinois at Chicago feel they've created a device that harnesses the power of photosynthetic solar cells. This technological break through acts similar to a plant. It breathes in carbon dioxide and together with water it will convert the gas it into glucose and oxygen.
The system has the ability of pulling in CO2 and processing it into a synthetic fuel which could be used in a wide array of cars, trucks, public transportation, machinery, etc.
One such application for this device is pulling harmful carbon dioxide that is coming into our atmosphere from a wide range of sources (see graphic below) from the environment and converting into fueling our factories, homes and vehicles.

I'm really encouraged by this news and hope these type of technological advancements will be things that the future riches of our community could help support financially and by getting the word out.
