Hive account@voxxov posted about the ad produced by Greenpeace that the Iceland supermarket wanted to use over the Christmas season. It shows how the products we use are causing the home of the orangutan and other wildlife to be destroyed for palm oil production. Iceland have pledged to remove palm oil from their own products. The ad has been banned from TV, so let's spread it via social media so everyone gets to see it.
I think Iceland are to be applauded for wanting to put out something that is not just about encouraging us to buy more stuff. Christmas tends to be a time of over-consumption and we have to fight against that.
Hive account@voxxov recemtly returned to Steem after many months. He's an artist and musician, but is choosing to concentrate on the most important issues facing our world now. It's tempting to ignore them and let ourselves be distracted by petty political arguments. Let's talk about what matters.
