Hi Ian, the Scatter identity is just for your own reference and is not even saved on the Blockchain, you can have multiple identities in Scatter which is practical if you have multiple EOS Accounts or also use Scatter for your ETH Account. Please only send funds to an EOS account name. Hope that helps 🙂
